But, I suppose I should say that I am devastated, although his music played no part in my life.

I am devastated. If you wish to quote my totally original response to his death, please give me a credit or my lawyers will sue your ass.

Cue mass hysteria along the lines of Princess Diana, the world will never be the same again, etc., etc. Moving on …
