Hey CC;
I'm happy to see the more subtle reconsideration of the troubled intersections of race and sexuality. I think these thoughts are appropriately nuanced and a great call for mutual consideration and conversation.

Some have speculated that black folks are no more anti-gay than white folks though that may be more of a "don't ask, don't tell" cultural stance. In fact, black Americans tend to be more liberal in terms of personal choice though their voting patterns may look socially conservative, especially when influenced by the church. But heterosexism isn't some quirk in chocolate cities; the lily white plains of Wyoming aren't exactly a gay heaven either, no matter what happens in Ang Lee movies.

We'd all do good to reconsider Obama's wonderfully insightful and sympathetic speech on race that explained how an individual can have coexistent yet conflicting views about a person versus the social group that person belongs to (i.e. Obama's grandma raising him but being scared of black men on the street).

I hope we all also think about how our treatment of each other as individuals sometimes is a better ethical stance than our consideration of each other's demographic positioning.

Congratulations on coming out against fuzzy math.
