My first boyfriend did community theatre as a singer/actor and not long after we started dating, I went to see him play a bunch of minor roles/be a chorus member in it. I went four times, partly to see him, but also because the score was/is a total knockout and it was a fun, cheeky production that had some terrific singing in it. Great, now I have <i>Life Is Happiness Indeed</i> going through my head. Damn, it's not leaving soon. I’ll always have a soft spot for Candide.
