O.C. is meant to be a pun on O.G., which is urban slang for &quot;Original Gansta,&quot; a phrase that is meant to suggest authenticity regarding one&#039;s status as a gangster. So, using to describe myself, of course I meant to evoke the feeling that there is something authentic about my desire to write criticism, that it is somehow preternatural, or at least, that I&#039;m not just suddenly trying to be a critic.
