Little House on the MoMA

It’s hard to imagine a more precise example of contemporary decadence than erecting five homes that are not to be lived in, only to be looked at, then taken away. This is essentially what MoMA has planned for their exhibit of prefabricated homes, as reported by Robin Pogrebin in The Times.

Well, come on. It’s not as bad as say, 19th century Europe where they’d erect a stone wall just to knock it down to create the “ruins” effect for a garden. But seriously. Don’t you think it’s a cruel ruse to all of NYC’s homeless people? At the very least, it lacks manners.
