This Is Getting Scary

In a single stroke of the “Publish” button , Gawker confirms our suspicions that they are copy-catting our focus on the critics. Here’s their third post in seven days (here’s 1, and 2) that deals with the critical cosmos. But we can’t hate it totally cuz we discovered that New York Times pop music critic Kelfa Sanneh is…A MAN! (We had some trouble with that one.) The post even furnishes a picture.

But other than proposing that Sanneh likes to write orgasmic overtures into his writing about R. Kelly, there isn’t much else to the post. The examples given are pretty tepid. And the whole thing kind of rings of, well, what we do, only less hot. I know, I know; we copy-catted their irreverent media-blog game in the first place. So, no harm no foul, guys. Can you just link to every now and then, okay? For realz?

I’m serious.

Gosh.
