Opera seems to be regaining some of its territory that over the past hundred years has been swiped away by the cinema. The Times reports that The Met is expanding its live high-definition simulcasts into more movie theaters around the globe.
Seriously, it’s a pretty sweet program, and if you don’t get your tickets way ahedad of time, you’ll be shit out of luck (as was CC last year).
Now, if we can only get them to braodcast at the U A Court Street in downtown Brooklyn…Holy shit! That would be like heroine for pop culture junkies!
