Gia Kourlas previews a pretty serious Merce Cunningham exhibition at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. Called “Invention: Merce Cunningham & Collaborators,” this exhibition combines archival relics (physical and aural documents) and some live performances.
Does anybody else hate the phrase “creature comforts”?

I assembled these sculptures for the artist Charles Long. I didn’t read the Kourlas story but the sculptures are creatures kind in the same way CAPITAL letters have legs and arms.
What I don’t like is the cumbersome word “Collaborators”.
Instead I think something like “Invention: Merce Cunningham & His Mom” could certainly do the trick.
You can’t remove peoples comments you facist bastard.
